Annuals are an excellent solution for color all season in your gardens. Don't be afraid to plant annual plants in your perennial beds also. Plant full sun annuals with full sun perennials. Shade loving annuals with shade loving perennials.

We stock our annuals, veggies and herbs from local growers. Availability of specific varieties will vary throughout the season in our garden center. In season we will have a wide selection of flats, patio pot sizes and hanging baskets.

Our plants are organized and arranged neatly. Everything is labeled for you with easy to read signing.

How to Plant

Prepare your garden bed. Be sure to mulch first! Mulching helps to prevent the addition of weeds in your garden. Mulching is also recommended to keep the soil moist. How much mulch do you need? Well the answer will vary, but 3-5" deep is a good general recommendation.

Before planting, water your plants and the soil in your bed well. Remove the plants from their pots gently to disturb the roots as little as possible. If they are in peat pots, tear the pots slightly to make it easy for the roots to grow through. If the roots are compacted, loosen them gently or cut them 'criss cross' with a knife before planting.

Dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball, and set the plant in at the same level at which it was growing. Carefully firm the soil around the roots. Water well after planting and keep moist until the plants are established and new growth has started. Once they are established, addition of a balanced fertilizer will encourage them to bloom.

Deadhead - remove the dead/spent blooms from your annuals to encourage re bloom.
Water your annuals, vegetable and herb beds daily.
